Data Protection — DPDP Act, 2023 — askQ.live

Applicable to users in India. Your rights as a Data Principal under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. Roles

askQ.live is the Data Fiduciary; you are the Data Principal. We process your personal data only for lawful, notified purposes, based on your free, informed, specific, and withdrawable consent, or for legitimate uses permitted under the DPDP Act.

2. Notice and consent

We give you an itemised notice of the personal data we collect, the purpose of processing, your rights, and how to complain. You can withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it — including, where applicable, through a registered Consent Manager. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

3. Your rights as a Data Principal

Subject to the conditions in the Act, you have the right to:

  • Access — obtain a summary of the personal data we process about you and the processing activities undertaken
  • Correction, completion, and updating — of your personal data
  • Erasure — request deletion of your personal data where it is no longer required for the notified purpose
  • Grievance redressal — a readily available means to raise a grievance with us (see below)
  • Nomination — nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of your death or incapacity

4. Children

We do not process a child's personal data (a person under 18) without verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian, and we do not undertake tracking, behavioural monitoring, or targeted advertising directed at children.

5. How to exercise your rights and escalate

We acknowledge grievances within 72 hours and respond within 30 days. If your grievance is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may make a complaint to the Data Protection Board of India.
