Terms & Conditions โ askQ.live
Last updated: 14 July 2026
Applicable to users in the EU/EEA.
1. Who we are & acceptance
askQ ("we", "us"), a company registered in the Netherlands (KvK no. 74306634, VAT no. NL859847846B01) and operating from Steilte 4, 5629 TN Eindhoven, Netherlands, runs a platform for live quizzes, audience participation, and voluntary tips and donations. By using askQ.live you accept these Terms.
2. Nature of the service โ not gambling
askQ.live is a knowledge and engagement platform, not a real-money game, game of chance, or betting service. No user stakes or wagers on a quiz, and no cash prize is paid on quiz results. Tips and donations are voluntary and independent of outcomes.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 (the GDPR digital-consent age in many member states; it ranges 13โ16). Under-age use requires a parent or guardian's consent.
4. Accounts & acceptable use
Transacting requires a verified email. Don't post unlawful, infringing, abusive, or harassing content; we may remove content or suspend accounts.
5. Donations, tips & fees
Tips and donations are charged immediately. askQ.live keeps a 15% platform share of donations to Supporting Hosts and settles the remaining 85% (net of processing costs) to the host on a monthly cycle. The host is the payee; askQ.live operates the platform. Payments and payouts are handled by Stripe.
6. Host content responsibilities
Hosts alone are responsible for holding the rights to their quiz content and for its lawfulness; askQ.live grants no content rights.
7. Consumer rights & liability
Your statutory consumer rights under EU law are unaffected, including pre-contract information and the right of withdrawal (see Refunds & Withdrawal). We limit liability where permitted, but we never exclude liability for death or personal injury, fraud, or gross negligence/intent.
8. Governing law & disputes
The laws of the Netherlands apply; if you are a consumer you keep the protection of your home country's mandatory rules and may bring proceedings there. We are willing to resolve disputes through alternative dispute resolution (ADR). (The EU Online Dispute Resolution platform closed on 20 July 2025 and is no longer available.)
